“I do think one-on-one conversations are more likely to change people” - Rachel Griffiths

Aussie icon Rachel Griffiths is best known internationally for her Golden Globe-winning performance as Brenda in Six Feet Under, and starring alongside Julia Roberts in My Best Friend’s Wedding.

But for us downunder, she’s the rockstar bestfriend of Muriel Heslop, Rhonda Epinstall in Muriel’s Wedding.

Rachel’s latest show Madam is about a woman who opens an ethical and feminist brothel after finding out her husband was cheating on her. It’s a funny and boundary-pushing series which everyone should watch and Rachel stops by to tell us all about it, make up some words, explain feminomics, spill the beans on where in the world has the best food on set, why a degustation is torture, and why she’s a coffee Karen but a great kitchen designer - along with some deeper thoughts on the state of the world at the moment which are insightful and reflective.

On the menu is; mangoes from grandmother's garden, hot chocolate in Venice, and dinner on Amtrak with the Amish

Her social cause is Back to Back Theatre Company - an Australian theatre company that engages with disabilities on stage. The company is based in Geelong, Victoria. It creates its work nationally and tours around the world. The work produced by the company explores questions about politics, ethics, and philosophy in humanity.
